The Astrogrille Intumescent Fire Grille is a passive fire protection solution designed to allow normal airflow during everyday operation, while providing effective fire and smoke containment in the event of a fire.
When exposed to elevated temperatures, the intumescent core rapidly expands to seal the opening, preventing the spread of fire and smoke through the ventilation aperture.
Manufactured with a galvanised steel frame and fitted with 6 mm vermin-proof steel mesh to both faces, the Astrogrille is robust, durable, and suitable for installation in solid timber fire doors and solid block walls. Depending on application, it can provide up to 30 or 60 minutes fire resistance.
The grille offers approximately 80% free area, ensuring minimal impact on airflow performance while maintaining fire integrity.
